The site is located approximately 1km to the south west of Lewisham centre, and is situated roughly half way between Lewisham High Street and Ladywell village centre.
Its proximity to Ladywell train station and numerous bus routes designates the area Public Transport Accessibility Level (PTAL) 6b, the highest classification. Overground train routes run to Lewisham, providing easy access to the DLR through Greenwich and Canary Wharf, whilst multiple over ground trains serve central London. London Bridge is 10 minutes away by train and Waterloo 16 minutes, providing access to the wider tube network and national rail services. Bus routes serve the surrounding areas of Crystal Palace, Plumstead, Brixton, Camberwell and Bromley, helping to provide this local village with regional connectivity
Ladywell has become an increasingly popular destination for younger communities, having benefited from significant regeneration in open and public spaces (such as £2.5 million investment in Ladywell fields). A well served village centre and easy access to Central Lewisham’s revived town centre place the site in an exciting area of regeneration and investment.
The recent demolition and re-development of Ladywell Leisure centre, and its replacement with ‘Place Ladywell’, has brought innovative social housing complete with street level enterprise hub, creative workspace, retail frontage and café to the local area, complementing the boroughs growing creative and cultural economies.
